Olive Grove, a Vineyard Park community, sits in central Phoenix with easy access to some of the area’s most worthwhile destinations, including Piestewa Peak Park, the Desert Botanical Garden, the Musical Instrument Museum and Old Town Scottsdale. Independent living, assisted living, memory care and respite care are available here in private studio and select one-bedroom apartments.
Walk in and you’ll find a community that’s genuinely active. Residents gather in the lobby, spend time in the courtyard and fill the dining room with laughter and conversation. Staff have been here five or more years on average, which shows up in how they move through the building and how comfortable residents are with them around.
Central Phoenix puts a lot within easy reach. What’s harder to find – and what Olive Grove has – is a community where the daily experience is worth coming home to.

The Olive Grove Experience
Spaces to Make Your Own
The lobby at Olive Grove is spacious enough to feel open and active enough to give you somewhere to be without needing a reason. The fireplace lounge is perfect for reading, visiting with a smaller group or simply enjoying a comfortable space. The courtyard and covered patios extend your options outside, accessible through most of the Phoenix year. Inside, the theater room, library, game room, art room and workout room give you choices based on what you’re in the mood for that day.
Something to Look Forward to Every Week
Live music, exercise classes, bingo, karaoke and monthly birthday parties give the calendar a consistent structure you can build your week around. Salon days are a regular feature for anyone who wants to indulge in a little self-pampering. Monthly BBQs move the social part of the day outside. The Wheelchair Wash is one of those traditions that’s harder to explain than to experience. The community sets up a drive-through car wash format, but for wheelchairs. And when you’re ready to explore the area, there are regular outings for shopping as well as trips to casinos, malls and local parks.
Dining Worth Sitting Down For
Three daily meals are served in a dining room where the piano gives the space a lively feel. If the day’s menu isn’t what you’re looking for, cook-to-order alternatives let you tuck into your preferred meal. Homemade desserts have earned a reputation among residents that they’ve maintained consistently. The culinary team runs regular dining surveys, asking both residents and staff what’s working and what isn’t. That feedback shapes the menu in ways that keep it from going stale, and it helps ensure that your voice is heard when it comes to the food you want to eat.
Care You Can Count On
Caregivers and dining staff at Olive Grove have been here five or more years. Staff know your name, your preferences and the details that make daily support feel personal rather than procedural. Nursing leadership is experienced and clinically strong. Case Managers and clinical providers coordinate care across a range of needs, and families stay informed through communication that happens proactively rather than on request. For those living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia, the memory care neighborhood includes a dedicated patio and quiet room, both within a secure setting where structured routines and consistent caregiving create a stable daily environment.
Valleywise, Banner Health and St. Joseph’s Hospital are all accessible when care needs extend beyond what’s available within the community.
Residents enjoy dining services, social spaces, activity programs, transportation, outdoor gathering areas, and wellness-focused amenities.
What other mobile services or providers are offered?
We facilitate a host of additional services such as podiatry, ophthalmology, psychiatry, PCP, dentistry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, counseling and monthly support groups.
Do you offer religious services or spiritual activities?
Yes. Residents have opportunities to participate in spiritual and religious activities on-site.
Can couples with different care needs remain together?
Yes. Through our Stay Together program, qualifying couples may continue living together even if one partner begins needing additional daily support. The program is designed to help spouses and companions remain close, maintain familiar routines and continue sharing meaningful time together while each person receives the individualized care they need. If one partner’s needs progress to memory care, our team will navigate that conversation carefully and with as much time and support as possible.
Does Olive Grove accept ALTCS?
Yes. Olive Grove participates in the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) for qualifying residents. ALTCS is Arizona’s Medicaid program for individuals who require long-term care services and meet financial and medical eligibility requirements. Our team can help explain the program, discuss eligibility and guide families through the admission process.
Do you offer transportation services?
Yes. Transportation may be available for appointments, outings, and community errands.
