What Families Are Saying

Candace Meadows
As a healthcare professional I recommend this facility! The staff is compassionate and responsive. The med techs and caregivers and administrative teams are amazing. They have wonderful communication and truly care about their residents. Jill is friendly and collaborative and Bobbie is responsive and gets stuff done! The facility is clean and homey. Go tour today!

This facility is beautiful, clean, and brand new. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Particularly, the nurse Letisha has been amazing at communication — she even hand delivered clothes to my father when he was in a temporary rehab facility nearby. Her care and communication is really what makes the place 5 stars for me. We did have some frustrating issues with the auto billing and had to change to writing a check each month. However as far as care and facilities go, I can’t say enough good things!

My mom has only been at this facility for a week (and I will update if needed), but so far, the experience has been a great one, including exchanges with administration. Special shout out to Anita, Wellness Nurse, who's on top of ensuring residents' safety and care and Duane, who is genuinely compassionate about meeting needs of residents. I moved my mom here from another facility that had more staff to resident ratio. Initially I was concerned about this but the care my mom receives exceeds the care she received at previous facility. I do hope the company that now owns Tucson Gardens, Care Partners Senior Living, considers hiring more staff to ensure continued safety of residents, as well as in advocacy of their staff, who truly work hard!

Few senior living communities offer the combination of natural beauty, convenience and community connection found on Mercer Island. Many residents enjoy staying active, participating in programs, socializing with neighbors and taking advantage of the many cultural, recreational and educational opportunities available both on and off the island.
What amenities stand out at Vineyard Park Mercer Island?
Vineyard Park Mercer Island offers a boutique-style experience that feels more like a large home on a hill than a traditional senior living community. A favorite gathering place is the wraparound porch, where residents enjoy relaxing in rocking chairs while taking in views of the Bellevue skyline. Residents also enjoy restaurant-style dining, comfortable gathering areas, activity spaces, walking paths, wellness programs and a welcoming back patio that hosts seasonal BBQs and outdoor social events.
What outings are especially popular?
Residents enjoy getting out and exploring many of Mercer Island’s favorite destinations. Popular outings include visits to Luther Burbank Park, Mercerdale Park, the Mercer Island Farmers Market and waterfront areas along Lake Washington. Scenic drives through Mercer Island, Bellevue and the Eastside are especially popular on clear days, offering beautiful views and opportunities to stay connected to the community.
What activities are resident favorites?
Residents enjoy a mix of social, recreational and entertainment-focused programs throughout the week. Morning exercise classes, baking socials and live entertainment are always well attended, especially performances by local favorite Danny Vernon. Seahawks and Mariners watch parties create plenty of friendly competition, while games like Uno have developed an enthusiastic following among residents.

What is the difference between independent living and assisted living?
Independent living is designed for older adults who want to spend less time managing a home and more time enjoying hobbies, friendships and community life. Assisted living provides additional support with medications, personal care, mobility and other daily tasks while encouraging continued independence and engagement.
How do you support residents living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia?
Our specialized memory care program is designed to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other memory-related conditions. Personalized care plans, structured routines and meaningful engagement help residents experience comfort, familiarity and connection each day. Families appreciate knowing their loved one is supported by a team trained specifically in memory care.
Why is it beneficial to offer independent living, assisted living and memory care in one community?
Life circumstances can change over time. Having multiple levels of care available within one community allows residents and families to plan with confidence, knowing additional support can often be accessed without leaving familiar surroundings, friendships and routines.
Can couples with different care needs remain together?
Yes. Through our Stay Together program, qualifying couples may be able to remain together even when one partner requires additional support. Maintaining daily companionship and shared experiences is often one of the most meaningful benefits for couples and families.
Why do residents enjoy the smaller size of Vineyard Park Mercer Island?
Many residents appreciate the intimate feel of the community. The smaller setting allows residents and staff to get to know one another personally, creating meaningful relationships and a strong sense of belonging. Families often describe the atmosphere as warm, welcoming and highly personalized.

Several staff members have served residents and families for more than 20 years, creating a level of continuity and familiarity that is difficult to replicate. Because Mercer Island is a smaller, more intimate community, residents and team members often develop meaningful relationships that feel more like extended family than traditional senior living.
Is staff available 24 hours a day?
Yes. Residents have access to support whenever it is needed, day or night. Just as important, many members of our team have cared for Mercer Island residents and families for years, creating a level of trust, familiarity and personalized attention that families often notice right away.
