What Families Are Saying

Candace Meadows
As a healthcare professional I recommend this facility! The staff is compassionate and responsive. The med techs and caregivers and administrative teams are amazing. They have wonderful communication and truly care about their residents. Jill is friendly and collaborative and Bobbie is responsive and gets stuff done! The facility is clean and homey. This facility is beautiful, clean, and brand new. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Particularly, the nurse Letisha has been amazing at communication — she even hand delivered clothes to my father when he was in a temporary rehab facility nearby. Her care and communication is really what makes the place 5 stars for me. We did have some frustrating issues with the auto billing and had to change to writing a check each month. However as far as care and facilities go, I can’t say enough good things!

My mom has only been at this facility for a week (and I will update if needed), but so far, the experience has been a great one, including exchanges with administration. Special shout out to Anita, Wellness Nurse, who's on top of ensuring residents' safety and care and Duane, who is genuinely compassionate about meeting needs of residents. I moved my mom here from another facility that had more staff to resident ratio. Initially I was concerned about this but the care my mom receives exceeds the care she received at previous facility. I do hope the company that now owns Tucson Gardens, Care Partners Senior Living, considers hiring more staff to ensure continued safety of residents, as well as in advocacy of their staff, who truly work hard!

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do when Mom’s money runs out?
Prior to a resident moving into the community, we conduct a financial review to determine whether private resources may be limited. If needed, alternative payment options—such as negotiated private rates or transitioning to a Medicaid reimbursement program—are considered. A financial plan is established in advance to avoid any future surprises.
What types of activities do you have?
We tailor daily activities for residents based on their individual needs and abilities.
Do you have nursing services?
Licensed nurses are on-site five days per week and available by phone for emergencies outside of normal business hours.
How do I get Mom to the doctor?
We offer scheduled and secure transportation using our community bus with trained staff. If a resident is unable to travel to a doctor’s office, a physician can visit the community as needed.
Do I need to have a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s to live at The Cottages?
Yes. All residents in this specialized memory care community must have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.
