What Families Are Saying

Candace Meadows
As a healthcare professional I recommend this facility! The staff is compassionate and responsive. The med techs and caregivers and administrative teams are amazing. They have wonderful communication and truly care about their residents. Jill is friendly and collaborative and Bobbie is responsive and gets stuff done! The facility is clean and homey. This facility is beautiful, clean, and brand new. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Particularly, the nurse Letisha has been amazing at communication — she even hand delivered clothes to my father when he was in a temporary rehab facility nearby. Her care and communication is really what makes the place 5 stars for me. We did have some frustrating issues with the auto billing and had to change to writing a check each month. However as far as care and facilities go, I can’t say enough good things!

My mom has only been at this facility for a week (and I will update if needed), but so far, the experience has been a great one, including exchanges with administration. Special shout out to Anita, Wellness Nurse, who's on top of ensuring residents' safety and care and Duane, who is genuinely compassionate about meeting needs of residents. I moved my mom here from another facility that had more staff to resident ratio. Initially I was concerned about this but the care my mom receives exceeds the care she received at previous facility. I do hope the company that now owns Tucson Gardens, Care Partners Senior Living, considers hiring more staff to ensure continued safety of residents, as well as in advocacy of their staff, who truly work hard!

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my loved one’s financial resources run out?
Before move-in, we conduct a financial review to assess available resources. If needed, we help explore alternative payment options, including adjusted private rates or transitioning to Medicaid. Our goal is to establish a clear, sustainable financial plan with no unexpected surprises.
What types of activities do you offer?
Activities are thoughtfully tailored to each resident’s abilities, preferences and cognitive needs, ensuring meaningful engagement every day.
Do you provide nursing services?
Yes. Licensed nurses are on-site five days per week and available by phone after hours for emergencies.
How are medical visits handled?
If a resident is unable to travel, a physician visits the community weekly to provide care on-site.
How do you ensure residents are safe and do not leave unsupervised?
Our cottages are intentionally designed for safety and visibility. Each home opens into a secure courtyard and monitored exit systems alert staff if a resident attempts to leave. Combined with 24/7 staffing, this ensures continuous supervision.
Is a diagnosis required to live here?
Yes. Residents must have a formal diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia to reside in our specialized memory care community.
